REHDA Headquarters – Wisma REHDA

About Wisma REHDA
The successful completion of the cutting edge, well-built and green Wisma REHDA in 2012 is another defining moment in REHDA’s history. Developed on its original site in Kelana Jaya, Wisma REHDA bears testimony to the strength and pride of REHDA.

Wisma REHDA is a green certified building which has adopted green technologies and eco-friendly features in its development, in line with REHDA’s agenda in spearheading efforts towards promoting sustainable development.

Eco-Friendly Features

PorPhoto-REHDA-May-12-print-0018 Ventilation Block Wall which acts as a second skin and cooling system to the building is used to protect the building interior from the scorching tropical heat. It ‘breathes’ through the ventilation blocks, allowing cross ventilation to take full effect in cooling down the building. It also allows natural lighting into the building, thus reducing electricity consumption. The ventilation block wall is economical as it does not need painting or plastering.

Rain Water Harvesting System is in place to collect rainwater from the roof for watering and cleaning purposes which helps reduce water consumption.

Water Feature Water Feature is located at the main entrance to bring a calming and tranquil effect to the building. The water also helps towards lowering the temperature of the surrounding area.

The Photovoltaic (PV) Technology works to generate electricity. Designed for the capacity of 60kW which is equivalent to 20% power supply for the building, it produces neither air pollution nor hazardous waste to convert sunlight into electricity. The system requires minimal maintenance and is cost efficient whereby it reduces energy consumption. Wisma REHDA is a recipient of the Pusat Tenaga Malaysia grant under the SURIA 1000 Programme.
